Join us for a BWY Student Assessment Day at Lindley Library
Join us on the 9th November at Lindley Library for a half day of Yoga and help BWY student teachers develop their practice
Invitation to BWY Student Assessment Day at Lindley Library
09th November 10am - 3.30pm
You are warmly invited to a special BWY Student Assessment Day, where three student teachers will each be offering a carefully prepared 1.5-hour yoga class as part of their final assessment. The day will be guided by their tutor and offers a wonderful opportunity to enjoy diverse, thoughtful yoga sessions while supporting the development of the next generation of yoga teachers.
The event will be held at Lindley Library and promises a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, with tea, coffee, and refreshments provided, plus time to chat about yoga between sessions.
You can choose to attend a single class or stay for all three — with a discount if you join us for the whole day.
£5 per class
£10 for all three
To ensure the day remains viable for the students, a minimum of six participants per class is required. Please book in advance to secure your place and to help us confirm numbers for the assessments.
Not only will you experience some beautifully designed yoga practices, but by attending you’ll also be playing an important role in helping student teachers gain confidence and progress towards becoming fully qualified BWY teachers.
We would love to see you there — whether for one session or the whole day of yoga, conversation, and community.

Yoga with me isn’t about chasing the “perfect” pose or keeping up with the person next to you. It’s about creating space to move, breathe, and explore in a way that supports you.
My approach is inclusive and adaptable. Empowering – you’re encouraged to make your own choices; you know your body best. Playful and grounded – progress is measured in how you feel, not how you look. Beyond postures – I use movement, breath, and yoga philosophy in practical ways.

Student Teacher
Evie began her yoga journey at thirteen, amazed by the many ways yoga could weave itself into all aspects of life and therefore inspired a passion to share this with others. Having offered her a constant space to unwind, rest and reconnect, Evie deeply values the time we dedicate to ourselves on the mat. Evie offers yoga in a way which is accessible, welcoming and can be appreciated by all, challenging the myth that you have to look or be a certain way in order to practice.

Yoga has been a steady companion to me through life’s unpredictability, helping me to navigate and embrace its many changes. It reminds me to breathe, pause and listen, and how true strength is most often found in kindness, patience and acceptance. In our shared practice, we will move, breathe and find stillness together, exploring what feels right in our own bodies in the moment, and hopefully carry the calm balance we cultivate on our mats out into the flow and unpredictability of our every day lives.
Three Class Pass
Why not make a day of it and join us for all three classes? This is a unique opportunity to experience the richness of three different teaching styles in one setting — almost like a mini-retreat, right here at Lindley Library. You’ll enjoy a full day of yoga, reflection, and community, with time to relax over refreshments between sessions. And with a special price of just £10 for the whole day (instead of £15), it’s not only a nourishing experience but also great value.

The Life Cycle of a Butterfly
Using the imagery of the initial 'hatching egg' stage of a butterfly's journey, together we will explore themes such as gentle awakening, setting intention and new beginnings. Moving with the breath, we will explore a mix of stillness and steady flow in Ardha Surya Namaskar, followed by a guided relaxation. Everyone welcome!
There’s No Place Like Home
Inspired by Dorothy’s journey in The Wizard of Oz, this 90 minute practice invites you to reconnect with your sense of inner home. Through grounding movement, stillness, breathwork and relaxation, we will explore ‘belonging' and the simple but powerful idea of coming home to ourselves - helping us to find stability, strength and calm both on and off our mats.
Movement Towards Stillness
Join me for playful, curious movement that awakens the body and sparks awareness. Our focus is The Foundation of Awareness and Playful Movement, blending strength with softness. Guided by Ahimsa (non-violence), we move kindly, tuning into sensations without force. Expect postures that create space for grounding and freedom. Reflect: “Can I meet the Warrior’s strength with softness and curiosity?” Build awareness, compassion, and find stillness through movement.
